Snow....

Rather late to share my thoughts and things on the snow that has now melted away…

The landscape looks rather dull now in its February gloom after the bright smattering of icing sugar but this time I made sure I took lots of photographs and actually did some sketching and painting to explore the light and dark and the different shades of white that lend themselves to my pale paintings.

Why can’t I paint something bright just now? I keep trying and every time it just looks a mess. It could be I am just in a pale frame of mind and when the spring arrives and the bulbs which are just popping through the soil will be in full bloom it will be time to paint again in full colour. In the meantime here are some snowy scenes and a little painting….
